Staying Alive 2008 Understanding Adolescents

A Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative Presented by the Stop Youth Suicide Campaign, in association with The Ridge


Behavioral Health System, the Kentucky Pediatric Society, Department of Mental Health and the UK Department of Pediatrics Grant Writing/Funding- Research funding for the coalition. Grant writing Search for funding for KTPC Finance Committee: The finance committee members review financial records quarterly, assist the treasurer in preparing a projected budget, makes suggestions to board for funding and future income projects, makes suggestions for spending. Program Committee: the program committee members plan conferences, special meetings and events. The members plan for diversity in speakers and topics. Also plan for CEU’s Membership Committee: the membership committee members will assist in increasing individuals or organizations to join KTPC, send out membership cards and welcome letters and keep an accurate list of all members. Newsletter Committee: The members of the newsletter committee will assist in the production of the newsletter by submitting letters and articles of interest. Public Relations/Media Committee: Members of the public relations/ media committee will plan for special events “Lets Talk Month” in October and National Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Month in May. Send thank you notes and plan for news media.
