2009 Fall Conference

KTPC’s 2009 Fall Conference will be October 1-2, 2009 at the Holiday Inn North on Newtown Pike in Lexington


Building Blocks
for
Developing Sexually Healthy Teens


Conference Objective: Learners will have a better understanding of teen pregnancy issues (e.g., adoption, sexually transmitted infections, dating violence, parent-child communication, costs of teen childbearing, and sexting) as major components in community initiatives to reduce teen pregnancy rates and to ensure the overall well-being of our youth. 


Join us for the Kentucky Teen Pregnancy Coalition's Fall Conference!  This year's conference will be October 1-2, 2009 at the Holiday Inn North on Newtown Pike in Lexington.

A block of rooms has been reserved under “KY Teen Pregnancy Coalition” at a rate of $91 plus tax.  This rate is good for October 1, 2009.  Call 859-233-0512 to make your reservations.  The block of rooms will be released on 9/13/09.

Make your reservations early!  This is a busy time in Lexington!

Certified Health Education Specialists – 6.5 CECH
The Department of Public Health, Western Kentucky University, has been designated as a Multiple Event Provider (#KY0022) of Category I continuing education contact hours in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program has been reviewed and approved for up to 6.5 contact hours in health education for event # 04010.


Nurses – 7.5 Contact Hours
The South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center is approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) as a provider of continuing education under the Provider Numbers 5-0026, expiration date 12-31-12.  7.5 contact hours will be awarded after attending the entire offering and completing evaluations.  The Kentucky Board of Nursing approval of an individual Nursing Continuing Education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content.  KBN # 5-0026-12-12-567
