Overview:  The Kentucky Teen Pregnancy Coalition’s conference, "Putting the Pieces Together" will focus on promising programs and approaches to abstinence education, comprehensive sex education, and youth development as major components in community initiatives to reduce teen pregnancy and ensure the overall well-being of youth.

Who Needs to Attend: If you are a health educator, doctor, nurse FRYSC staff person, HANDS Program employees, community program coordinator, youth advocate/counselor, or simply someone wanting to understand the problems, issues and concerns about sex and teens, then you should attend this event.

Registration:   The conference will begin at 11:45 on Thursday, September 29th and will conclude at 1:30 on Friday, September 30th. To register for this event please use the form located at the bottom of this page.   You can register the first day of the conference, however the coalition strongly encourages early registration!  Conference Registration fees are listed below:
                    $60.00 for KTPC members
                    $75.00 for Non-members
                    $85.00 Conference fees and 1 yr. membership
                    $30.00 College Students includes 1 yr. membership
                    $15.00 High School Students includes 1 yr. membership
                           (All KTPC memberships expire June 30th of each year)

Hotel Accommodation:   Attendees should call the hotel reservation department at (859) 233-0512 and identify they are with KTPC.  All reservations should be made by 09/08/05.  After this date the hotel will release the remainder room block.   Additional reservations requests will be honored on a space and rate available basis. Holiday Inn North website  www.hilexingtonnorth.comA single or double room will cost $75.00 per night.  Lodging paid by individuals is not eligible for the State Tax Exemption.  Rooms can be guaranteed for late arrival to an individual credit card of by advance deposit. Any guaranteed reservations not canceled before 6:00 pm on their arrival date will be billed to the credit card or against the advance deposit.  All conference attendees are responsible for their own hotel room charges.

Continued Education Credit:  The Kentucky Board of Nursing has approved a total of 10 CEUs for this event. In order to obtain these hours, you must attend both conference days and register each day.

HANDS Wraparound Hours: HANDS hours have been approved for a total of 11.25 hours.

Certified Health Education Specialist: CHES hours have been approved for a total of 8.0 hours.
